Transforming Spaces

With Indigenous Art & Décor

We transform event spaces into immersive art experiences that celebrate Indigenous culture and visual storytelling. From creative concept development to installation, we design every detail with intention and care.

Our Services

Our approach to art and décor transforms your vision into immersive event experiences, from creative concept development to installation.

Event Design

Our Art & Décor team develops cohesive event design concepts that bring your vision to life through curated mood boards, floor plans, art and décor placement, tablescapes, florals and digital design elements. Every design is thoughtfully crafted to create meaningful, visually impactful, and culturally grounded event experiences.

Art & Décor Rentals

Our authentic Indigenous art collection features rentable pieces that were built in collaboration with First Nation artists from across British Columbia. Each piece is thoughtfully integrated into your event design by our Art & Décor team, bringing cultural grounding and meaningful impact to your event.

Greenery and Natural Elements

We incorporate native plants, cedar boughs, branches and trees into event environments to acknowledge the lands and territories where gatherings take place. These land-based design elements create spaces that feel connected to nature, Indigenous traditions, and the natural world.

Tablescapes

Our tablescape designs feature beautifully curated settings that incorporate handcrafted wooden centrepieces, cedar mats, and table runners showcasing Indigenous artwork. Accented with seasonal florals, native plants, and locally sourced greenery, each tablescape draws inspiration from the natural landscapes to create memorable dining experiences that celebrate culture and connection.

Authentic Indigenous Art Activations

We enhance your event with live Indigenous art demonstrations, including carving, cedar weaving, beading, or collaborative mural painting. Led by Indigenous artists and cultural practitioners, these interactive activations create memorable guest experiences while celebrating Indigenous artistry and culture.

Commitments & Credentials

All team members have completed the Indigenous Canada certification, offered by the University of Alberta. This certification provides a comprehensive understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, and contemporary issues, helping our team develop cultural competency and awareness.

Our team has completed a six-week training course on the history and culture of the Métis in Canada, led by Lorelei Lyons of 2 Métis Women. This training deepens our cultural awareness and supports our commitment to distinctions-based approaches when working with communities. By applying this learning, we ensure that our event planning and engagement strategies are respectful, inclusive, and culturally informed.

We follow the national CARFAC (Canadian Artists’ Representation) standards, ensuring artists are compensated fairly for their work and contributions. Adhering to these guidelines reflects our commitment to ethical practices, equity, and sustainability in the arts.

Our Approach

Rooted in tradition, honouring the voices and creativity of Indigenous Peoples, we transform event spaces with vision and care.

Our commitment is twofold: to support Indigenous culture and artists, and to ensure our event design creates an environment where people feel welcomed, connected, and inspired. From curated art collections and immersive installations to tablescapes, greenery, and live art activations, every element is intentionally designed to create authentic and meaningful impact.

The result is more than adding the finishing touches; it’s visual storytelling. It is a meaningful collaboration that honours culture, uplifts artists, and creates lasting connection extending beyond the event itself.

National Indigenous Peoples Day

Naut’sa mawt Event Management’s Art & Décor team was engaged to support the event through a thoughtfully designed stage installation that brought Indigenous art and natural elements into the heart of the celebration. As the visual focal point of the event, the stage needed to feel impactful and welcoming while complementing the performances, speakers, and activities taking place throughout the day.
